SANGLI: The Sangli police recently arrested five sons of local judges, police officials and other government officials in connection with a theft at the residence of additional district and sessions judge Sudhir Kulkarni.

sangli: the sangli police recently arrested five sons of local judges, police officials and other government officials in connection with a theft at the residence of additional district and sessions judge sudhir kulkarni. they were later released on a bail of rs 10,000 each. the accused, who are college students, allegedly committed the theft at the judge's residence on december 22.the police have recovered stolen goods, including a computer and an audio cd player, totally worth rs 51,000, from them.

the accused are: rishikesh deshpande, son of additional district and sessions judge r.a. deshpande, nitin walujkar, son of padharpur-based additional district and sessions judge a.g. walujkar, rakesh patole, son of the kundal-based assistant police subinspector chandrakant patole, pravan chowgule, son of revenue officer pandurang chowgule, and prashant jadhav. the police said the youths stole the goods after the judge, along with his family members, had left for his native place. the police had maintained secrecy over the matter until all the accused were nabbed and the stolen goods were recovered. police inspector suresh pawar is investigating the case.
